Tour 6 : Kruje – Lezhe – Shengjin – Shkoder – Durres – Tirane

Day 1: Airport-Kruja-Lezha-Shengjini. Arrival at Mother Theresa International Airport; Introduction to our guide at the airport and departure for Kruja city; Visit at Kruja city to see the castle and “Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu” National Albanian Hero Museum, located in a strategic place for the country and also offering a spectacular view for the visitors. After the visit at Kruja Castle and at the Museum, the Tour continues in the road called Kruja Old Bazaar which shows an old part of Kruja history where, in addition to the marvelous view, you can also go shopping at the antique shops which may serve as an opportunity to buy any souvenirs; After the visit in Kruja, a marvelous lunch with a panoramic view of the city, or in Fushe Kruje; After lunch, the tour will continue in Lezha, a city in the North-West of Albania. There we will visit Scanderbeg Mausoleum and Lezha Castle; afterwards in the evening we will accommodate in Shengjin ,in the northern beach-city of Albania, where we will enjoy a traditional dinner of the area.

Day 2: Shengjin-Shkoder-Durres-Tirana.
After breakfast, the tour will continue in Shkodra city, the largest northern city of Albania enjoying the most wonderful mountainous view of the north of Albania. Shkodra is one of the oldest cities of the Balkans and it is the capital of the Illyrian empire. We will visit Rozafa Castle and the museum inside the castle, along with Rozafa legend, old bazaar, the downtown, cathedral and mosque of the city; A visit in Zog’s villa (former King of Albania). Lunch will be served in Shkodra and in the afternoon, departure for Durres city.

Durres, an old Albanian city is also the city which has the biggest port and the largest beach in Albania. In Durres we will visit the Durres Amphitheater which is the biggest amphitheater in the Balkan Peninsula dating since the second Century AD, and containing a rare wall mosaic; In the evening, departure for Tirana, accommodation at the hotel and dinner; After dinner, free time to enjoy the downtown of Tirana.

Day 3: Tirana – Rinas Airport.
After breakfast at hotel, we will make a tour of Tirana city. The touristic tour of Tirana, capital of Albania since 1920, includes also a visit in the main square of Tirana called “Scanderbeg Square”, the Clock Tower (35 m tall) built in 1830, a visit at Ethem Bey’s Mosque, National Museum, National Gallery of Arts, Palace of Congresses and Block Area. During the tour of Tirana, you will also have the opportunity to see the main boulevard of Tirana, Palace of Culture, Tabak’s Bridge, etc. Following this tour, departure for Mother Theresa Airport, and end of tour.

The price includes: 2 nights at a 3* and 4*hotel double room, breakfast, minibus luxury transport, English language guide. If dinner shall be asked at the hotel, an extra payment of 13 Euros/person shall be added to the price.

The price does not cover: museum and castle tickets. Lunch will be served in traditional restaurants and an extra 15 Euros/person shall be added to the price.
